So I saw something online…

Ok, so since I write about whiskey and like to drink whiskey, I read about whiskey. I have news alerts set up on Google to notify me when new Whiskey articles are posted.

I was intrigued that I was sent this link the other day about a Mashable article talking about a trend in Singapore off adding whiskey to other drinks. Not an uncommon thing in itself, but they were specifically focused on the mixing of whiskey and a children’s chocolate malt beverage very popular over there called Milo, manufactured by Nestle.

I assumed it was like Quik, but ordered it online to make sure before writing about it. Turns out it is nothing like Quik except that it has cocoa powder. Milo is a malted, hot drink. You mix 5 teaspoons of powder to around a half cup (200ml) of hot water. You can make it a bit crazier with 2 teaspoons of dried milk if desired (actually in the instructions). I’ve got to say, it’s not bad without the bourbon, but adding a shot of Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit made it a lot more likely to become my breakfast drink of choice 😉.

Happy Thursday everyone!
